The new Nursery facility will definitely open at 7am on Monday 2nd April 2012. There have been delays due to finding an Air Raid Shelter under the garage, but as the interior is nearly complete and the remaining external works are moving on quickly, we will definitely open on time.

Highest Quality Accommodation
The premises are being fully refurbished to the highest standard by G. U. D. construction, a local St Helens’ company who have worked long hours in all weathers to finish for our deadline. Pat Edwards, of G.U.D. Construction, has a son in Tower College Pre-Prep. E.O. Cottam’s & Sons, also of St Helens are working on site, and Mr Cottam remembers working, as a young lad, with his father for Miss Oxley’s parents at Tower College and Scarisbrick Hall. We are very glad to have Chris Cousineau from Socio (located at Rainford Hall) as Project Manager; his knowledge and insight has proved to be invaluable.
The venture really is starting off with a family environment even before the first children arrive!

Beautiful Rooms
The rooms are all painted in different colours ~ yellow and turquoise for the playrooms, lilac for the sleep area and pink for the babies’ sensory room.
Our very own Vegetable Patch
The vegetable garden is being reinstated after the exterior works (ramps, car parking, fencing, new gates etc) are complete so that the children can enjoy digging, growing and hopefully eating their own fresh vegetables! We will make sure that the vegetables are cleaned before being eaten ~ and that the children are cleaned before being collected!

Caring and Professional Staff
The first staff members have been appointed and they will start before 2nd April, in order to have everything in place for our first arrivals, who are waiting to join us! The staff are experienced, lovely people whose love of children is evident from first meeting them. As they all get on so well together and complement one another’s areas of expertise, we are so looking forward to settling the children into this happy atmosphere.
Open Morning
There will be an Open Morning for parents of all children of Nursery, Pre-Prep and Preparatory School age on Saturday 17th March, starting at 10am (in the Jubilee Hall of the Main School) with a presentation followed by tours of all areas, including Tower Tots, and refreshments.
All are welcome, but please telephone or email to let us know you are coming (and how many adults and children will be attending) beforehand in order to assist in our arrangements for the day.
We are impatient to begin as we look forward to the next chapter in Tower College’s development.
